Life skills are abilities for adaptive and positive behavior that enable humans to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of life. This concept is also termed as psychosocial competency. The subject varies greatly depending on social norms and community expectations but skills that function for well-being and aid individuals to develop into active and productive members of their communities are considered as life skills. In order to equip the students with the nuanced life skills, a webinar was organized by CCA committee of CT College of Education for students of B.Ed. & M.Ed. on Friday, April 22, 2022.  Resource person for the same was Ms. Pooja Tack, Teacher at Army Public school, Mammun, Cantt, Pathankot.  During the webinar Ms. Pooja Tack elaborated on various aspects and concept of Life Skills like- Personal Growth, Positive Mind Programming & Re-programming, Self Image Improvement, Self-Discipline, Smart Work, Skill Development, Meditation, Subconscious Mind, Source of positive and negative thoughts, Anger management through identification & response to triggers. She also encouraged the participants to evaluate themselves and to recognize one’s abilities and strengths to make decisions and solve problems that will benefit them in the long run. She gave daily life examples.  After this, there was a question and answer round where the students asked questions regarding stress management to which the speaker replied and cleared the doubt of the students. The faculties also actively participated in this round by sharing their thoughts on how mental health can be related to life skills and how enhancing the skills can help improve the state of our mental health. The session was concluded by a vote of thanks. Overall session was knowledgably and fruitful for students.
