The Department of Management Studies, CTIMIT, organized a 360° Budget Appraisal on 06/02/2025, providing students with insights into the Union Budget 2025-26 and its economic impact. Students from various disciplines actively participated, analyzing budgetary allocations and discussing key policy expectations.

Representing the healthcare sector, Dushant & Aishwarya (MBA 2) emphasized the need for increased funding in medical infrastructure, AI-driven diagnostics, and telemedicine to improve accessibility. In the infrastructure sector, Rupinder & Manpreet (MBA 4) highlighted investments in roadways, smart cities, and sustainable urban planning, suggesting PPP models and foreign direct investment (FDI) as key drivers of growth.

From the education sector, Ashmit & Jatin (BBA 6) discussed the budget’s focus on green infrastructure and vocational education, stressing the importance of tracking learning outcomes through standardized assessments and digital engagement. In the media sector, Dharam & Simran (BBA 4) explored the government's potential investments in VR and AR technologies, along with the need for stronger copyright protection laws to curb digital theft.

In the agriculture sector, Chahat & Simran Bassan (BBA 2) highlighted the significance of modernized farming techniques, increased MSP for crops, and agri-tech advancements to support farmers. Discussing the finance sector, Sandeep & Deepika (B.Com 6) proposed simplified GST compliance with a uniform 12% rate on hotels and a single-window licensing system to streamline business operations.

Representing the tourism sector, Rahul & Parwinder (B.Com 4) examined budgetary allocations for travel efficiency, historical tourism promotion, and eco-tourism projects. From the research & innovation sector, Tushar Sharma & Manpreet Kaur (B.Com 2) emphasized the importance of investing in sustainable technology, advocating for public-private partnerships, R&D tax incentives, and increased government grants to drive innovation.

Dr. Anurag Sharma, Director of CTIMIT, commended the initiative, stating that the 360° Budget Appraisal provided students with a holistic understanding of economic policies, fostering critical thinking, policy analysis, and financial awareness. The event proved to be an enriching experience, preparing students to evaluate future budgetary decisions effectively.
