CT College of Education in collaboration with PEHAL NGO organized extension lecture on E-Waste Management on July 31, 2024. The program aimed to create awareness among students about the growing challenges of electronic waste and the importance of responsible disposal and recycling practices. Mr. Bipin Suman was the resource person for the same. The resource person explained that the rapid advancement of technology and frequent upgrading of gadgets have significantly increased the volume of e-waste worldwide. The lecture highlighted the harmful effects of improper disposal, as electronic devices contain toxic substances like lead, mercury, and cadmium that can contaminate soil, water, and air, posing serious health risks. The program concluded with an interactive session where students clarified their doubts and expressed their willingness to participate in future awareness campaigns and e-waste collection drives. The lecture proved to be highly informative and successful in promoting environmental responsibility among students.
