Interactive Lecture on Psychometric Assessment of Children

Psychometric Assessment tool is an objective way to measure an individual's abilities, behavioural style and is an excellent predictor of performance. To acquaint the students about use of psychometric assessment tools, CT College of Education, Maqsudan, Jalandhar (B.Ed. & M.Ed.) organised an interactive lecture on topic ' Psychometric Assessment of Children' on December 19, 2022 at college premises. The Resource Person for the same was Dr. Rajnish Sharma, Principal, MK College of Education, Jalandhar. During the session, Dr. Rajnish Sharma explained that psychometric tools are automated, structured frameworks to ensure an unbiased evaluation of psychological characteristics, such as personality, creativity, intelligence, motivation, and values and there are various psychometric tools for evaluating skills, abilities, personality, values, and motivation. Dr. Rajnish Sharma practiced various psychometric assessment tests like intelligence test, personality test, aptitude test. Students trained on administration, scoring, and interpretation of the tests. Hand on experiences has been gained during this interactive lecture. She also promoted queries between the sessions to ensure complete understanding on the topics discussed. Interactive lecture provided so much of insight about each and every testing tool and was very interesting and informative.
