About the Department

The Department of Beauty Therapy and Aesthetics offers the Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) program designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in the rapidly growing beauty and wellness industry. The program focuses on blending theoretical understanding with hands-on training to prepare students for professional careers in salons, spas, skincare clinics, and wellness centers. The department emphasizes holistic learning, covering a wide range of topics such as skincare, haircare, makeup artistry, nail technology, spa therapies, body treatments, and salon management. Students are trained in modern techniques and use of advanced equipment, ensuring they meet current industry standards.


A strong component of the program is On-the-Job Training (OJT) and practical workshops that allow students to gain real-world experience and build professional confidence. The curriculum is designed in alignment with National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) to promote employability, entrepreneurship, and industry relevance. The department also focuses on developing professional ethics, client communication skills, hygiene standards, and personal grooming, enabling students to deliver quality service and maintain client satisfaction. Graduates from this department can pursue careers as beauty therapists, aestheticians, makeup artists, spa consultants, salon managers, and educators in the beauty and wellness sector.
