CT College of Education organized an online workshop on initiative titled Sustainability Index of Colleges and Universities in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India on 10 March, 2022. The resource person for the same was Dr. Priyavart Sharma, MGNCRE, MoE, GoI. He clearly defined the objective and features of workshop. The workshop commenced with the introduction of Sustainable campus , where the educators were trained to benchmark the green performance of their college campus in the 5 sectors of intervention: Air, Water, Land, Energy and waste. The workshop covered following areas:

Explained the Swachh(Green Practices), the role of Higher Education Institutions in implementing the Swachhata Plan and various stakeholders in the swachhata initiative.
Explained Sanitation and Hygiene initiatives to be implemented, water conservation, water management initiatives and energy conservation.
Preparation of swachh campus score card, waste score card, water score card, greenery score card and energy score card.
Preparation of water budget, water quantity and quality monitoring, start water conservation and plantation.
Conducting water supply audit, and how institute conduct these activities.

All students and faculty members participated in workshop. The workshop concluded with the educators’ feeling more enabled to conduct audits in their respective campus with an enhanced understanding of what sustainable meant.
