An Industrial Visit to 'Chaupal – An OTT Platform' located in Mohali was successfully organized by the Department of Media Studies, CT Group of Institutions, North Campus, Maqsudan. The visit was specifically designed for journalism and multimedia students to provide them with practical exposure to the media industry.


The students were first introduced to the different studios at Chaupal, including Indian, Western, and Folk studios. They explored VFX editing, editing desks, and the Master Control Room. Ms. Rajni Chandel, HR Manager at Chaupal, shared valuable insights about the studio’s journey, highlighting how various films, web series, TV shows, and songs have been filmed at the facility.


The students were given an opportunity to capture photographs of the studios and set designs for their assignments, which were later reviewed by the Head of Department (HOD). The visit was conducted under the observation of Mr. Sandeep Sharma (Training & Placement Officer) and Prof. Rattan Sahu, Assistant Director Training & Placement Cell. All students expressed their gratitude to the Management of CT GROUP for providing them with the opportunity to explore and learn in such a dynamic environment. Campus Director Sir, Dr. Anurag Sharma, said at CT North Campus our focus is to bridge the industry-academia interface and to enhance practical learning.
