Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan is an overarching programme for the school education sector extending from pre-school to class 12 has been, therefore, prepared with broader goal of improving school effectiveness measured in terms of equal opportunities for schooling and equitable learning outcomes. It subsumes the three schemes of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) and Teacher Education (TE).To acquaint the students about Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan , CT College of Education, Maqsudan, Jalandhar (B.Ed. & M.Ed.) organized an interactive session on topic 'Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan' on December 16, 2022 at college premises. The Resource Person for the same was Dr. Anju Sharma, Assistant Professor, CTCE. During the session,  Dr. Anju Sharma explained that Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan is an integrated scheme for school education extending support to States from pre-school to senior secondary level. Moreover she clarified that the scheme was launched with a view to improving the quality of school education and represents a paradigm shift in the conceptual design of school education, by treating ‘school’ holistically as a continuum from pre-school, primary, upper primary, and secondary to the senior secondary levels. After this, there was a question and answer round where the students asked questions regarding Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan to which the speaker replied and cleared the doubt of the students. Overall session was knowledgeable and fruitful for students.
