Lohri- the festival which offers a panorama of our culture. Lohri is the harvest festival of Punjab popularly known as the bread basket state of India. Irrespective of which state or religion people belong to, Lohri was celebrated with equal enthusiasm by everyone. To make this event a memorable one, CT College of Education, Maqsudan, Jalandhar celebrated Lohri on January 12, 2023 in the college premises. The day commemorated with immense joy, enthusiasm and magnificence. The function started with speeches in English and Punjabi highlighting the importance of the festival of Lohri, which ushers in the cheerful spring season bidding adieu to the winter. Students danced to the foot tapping Punjabi music to the fullest and presented melodious songs as a part of the celebrations. Groundnuts and sweets were also distributed among the students Overall it was a fun filled day for students. The students were overwhelmed and enjoyed the day.
