Micro Teaching is teaching training technique. It is a system of controlled practice that makes it possible to concentrate on specific teaching behavior and to practice teaching under controlled conditions. It is scale down teaching in which class size, duration of period, size of content and teaching skill is reduced. In order to equip the B.Ed. Sem. II students with the micro teaching skills CT College of Education, Maqsudan, Jalandhar organized Expert Session on ‘Micro Teaching Skills’ on May 3, 2023. Resource person for the same was Mr. Arun Joy Thapar, Assistant Professor, CT College of Education, Jalandhar. He elaborated the meaning of micro teaching skills. He also explained all the micro skills i.e. skill of introducing and skill of questioning, skill of explanation, skill of chalkboard writing, skill of stimulus Variation. There was a question and answers round where the students asked questions regarding micro teaching skill components to which the speaker replied and cleared the doubt of the students. . Overall session was knowledgably and fruitful for students.
