Baisakhi or Vaisakhi, the harvest festival, is celebrated with great enthusiasm to mark the beginning of the new spring and is celebrated in most of India. To imbibe in students the ethos, values of every culture and to make students aware of the spring harvest festival in all its essence, CT College of Education, Jalandhar (B.Ed. & M.Ed.) organised morning assembly to celebrate Baishakhi on April 13, 2023. The program began with an invocation seeking God’s blessings through prayer. Students presented dance, poetry, speeches, depicting the culture of Punjab. The event witnessed an array of performances by students, including Bhangra dance, Giddha dance, and poetry recitation. The highlight of the celebration was the Giddha dance performance by the students, which left the audience spellbound. It was heartening to see the staff and students come together to enjoy the festivities and immerse themselves in the rich culture of Punjab. The students were overwhelmed and enjoyed the day.
