Expert Session on Value Added Courses for B.Ed. and M.Ed.

Value-Added courses are a part of the curriculum designed to provide necessary skills to increase the employability quotient and equipping the students with essential skills to succeed in life. To equip the B.Ed. and M.Ed. students to face the emerging challenges in the job market and to facilitate the students to develop innovative as well as creative skills, CT College of Education, Maqsudan, Jalandhar (B.Ed. & M.Ed.) organized an Expert session on “ Value Added Courses for B.Ed. & M.Ed.” on April 21, 2023. The resource person for the same was Dr. Rajneesh Sharma, Principal, MK College of Education, Jalandhar. She explained that Value Added courses are conducted by professionals and industry experts and help students stand apart from the rest in the job market by adding further value to their resume. She encourages students to select relevant courses offered on the SWAYAM platform, an online learning platform developed by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and NEPTEL, IIT Madras with the help of Google Inc. and Persistent Systems Ltd. The courses on SWAYAM platform initiated by Government of India achieve the three cardinal principles of Education Policy- access equity and quality. Overall session was knowledgeable for students.
