A Documentary/Short Film Competition

Jalandhar, May06, 2022: A Documentary/Short Film Competition “Frames 2022” was organized by the Department of Media Studies, CT Group of Institutions, Maqsudan, Jalandhar.

In this, more than 15 teams from various colleges of Punjab and other states namely HMV College, GNA University, Lyallpur khalsa, Loyola College Tamilnadu etc participated.

The participants highlighted various social issues in their Films like:- Corona, Cleanliness, Women Safety, Hesitation etc. They were judged by video director Mr. Gorbi and DD Punjabi tv anchor Ms. Megha Bhalla. They Judged the films made by students on various parameters like Concept, Creativity/Originality, Execution, Enactment and Technical/Production Quality.

Campus Director Dr. Yogesh Chhabra along with Ms. Anisha Kundra, Head – Dept. of Media Studies and Judges Mr. Gorbi and Ms. Megha Bhalla gave the Certificates, Cash Prizes to the winners. The first prize was bagged by GNA University with a cash prize of Rs. 5,100 whereas second and third prizes were bagged by the teams from Lyallpur khalsa, Jalandhar along with the cash prizes of Rs 3,100 and Rs 2,100.

Dr. Yogesh Chhabra, Campus Director said, “The key objective of organizing this competition was to raise various social issues and to raise awareness and ignite the young minds. Students from various colleges have put in their wonderful effort in making these films for the competition.”
