February 23, 2019: A Documentary/Short Film Competition “Frames 2018” was organized by the Department of Media Studies, CT Group of Institutions, Maqsudan, Jalandhar.

In this, more than 20 teams from various colleges of Punjab namely GNDU Regional Campus,

Ladhewali, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, AS College, Khanna, HMV College, Lovely Professional University, GNA University, DAV College, Trinity College etc. participated.

The participants highlighted various social issues in their Films like:- Wastage of Food, Cleanliness, Women Safely, Child Labor, Female Feticide, Social Media and Technology – A Boon or Bane, Drugs etc. They were judged by famous comedian duo Mr. Gurpreet Singh and Mr. Prabhpreet Singh popularly known as Shugli-Jugli. The Judges who are experienced Script-Writers, are also actively involved in production of various TV Programmes, Short Films etc. through their studio “Funjabi Studio”. They Judged the films made by students on various parameters like Concept, Creativity/Originality, Execution, Enactment and Technical/Production Quality.
